The Fjord Vase

Inspired by the dramatic fjords of Patagonia, where the Andes plunge into icy waters and massive glaciers flow down to meet the sea. The deep sage-green glaze evokes dense evergreen rainforest clinging to steep mountainsides, while cream and silvery rivulets cascade down the faceted surfaces like glacial streams carving through granite walls.

The glaze pools, drips, and crystallizes across each angular plane, mirroring the unpredictable movement of ice and water through narrow waterways. The rich, dark interior contrasts with the dynamic exterior, creating depth and mystery reminiscent of Patagonia's remote glacial valleys.

Designed, slip cast and glazed in our studio in the Netherlands, each piece is a one-of-a-kind original.
